2021 NFL Quarterback Rankings After Week 12

The quarterback ranking reshuffling continued this week, finding consistency has been a challenge this season.

In past seasons heading into December, you traditionally had a couple favorites putting the finishing touches on their MVP resumes but that isn’t the case this year.

Aaron Rodgers with his vaccination controversy and injuries has emerged as an MVP frontrunner by default. Who will be the NFL’s most prestigious award favorite after week 13?

2021 NFL Quarterback Rankings After Week 11

After week 11, this is how the quarterback picture currently looks in the NFL.

Yes it is true, Kirk Cousins and Jimmy G are playing at a high level, whether the typical fan acknowledges this fact or not is inconsequential.

Reputations have a high degree of importance in shaping legacies, if you’re not viewed like an elite talent your accomplishments are often minimized or dismissed altogether, however that doesn’t remove the reality of the data.

Your game doesn’t need to look pretty to be effective, in today’s league there is not just one way to play quarterback.

2021 NFL Quarterback Rankings After Week 10

The wild 2021 NFL season continued this past week, leaving fans with more questions than answers this late into the year. There is no clear cut Super Bowl favorite or MVP frontrunner, and as we can see by the current quarterback rankings sometimes not playing can do wonders for a player.

While Kyler Murray has been sidelined with injuries, the quarterbacks ahead of him prior to his injury have performed horribly, most notably Matt Stafford on back to back games. If Kyler manages to return without missing a beat, the MVP spotlight will be directed towards him.

Week 10 quarterback rankings:

  1. Kyler Murray
  2. Dak Prescott
  3. Matt Stafford

2021 NFL Quarterback Rankings After Week 9

What a wild weekend of games did week 9 of the NFL provide, we witnessed several uncharacteristically bad performances from some of the best teams and quarterbacks in the league today.

Josh Allen who ranked cumulatively as the 5th best quarterback through 8 weeks, fell 10 spots to number 15 after his latest showing, that tends to happen when you lose to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The MVP race has reopened once again, Matt Stafford body work kept him at the number 1 overall spot but he no longer holds the top position for every single advanced statistical category. This paves the way for the “GOAT” Tom Brady to be in prime position to snatch a 4th MVP award at age 44.

Week 9 quarterback rankings:

  1. Matt Stafford
  2. Tom Brady
  3. Kyler Murray
  4. Dak Prescott

2021 NFL Quarterback Rankings After Week 8

Traditionally the halfway point of the NFL season in past years, week 8, teams and players’ resumes are starting to take shape.

And whether you agree with the data or not, the following quarterbacks have been ranked in the order they have earned thus far.

Big names and potential don’t matter to the data, you have either performed or not. Being held in high regard should not play a factor in your ranking when it is all said and done.

You might pick one player over another based on the attributes they possess but if a lesser talent has outplayed that highly skilled player then they rightfully should be slotted higher.

Week 8 quarterback rankings:

  1. Matt Stafford
  2. Tom Brady
  3. Dak Prescott

2021 NFL Quarterback Rankings After Week 7

Another week of NFL games is in the books, and through 7 weeks one quarterback has established himself as the top player at the position, and that is Matt Stafford.

Stafford at this point of the season ranks number 1 in ANY/A, DYAR, DVOA, EPA+CPOE Composite, and EPA/Play. This is an uncharacteristically great start for Matt who has never had a top 5 ranked season in his career despite having several top rated offensive lines and very good receiving weapons throughout his Detroit Lions tenure.

Can Stafford maintain this elite level of play for another 10 games? Who knows but as of today he should be the clear cut MVP award favorite. All of the data supports this narrative, though Kyler Murray, a breakout star this year is right there on his heels.

Week 7 quarterback rankings:

  1. Matt Stafford
  2. Kyler Murray
  3. Tom Brady

2021 NFL Quarterback Rankings After Week 6

Week 6 of NFL action saw a lot of spectacular quarterback play, the elite players at the position this year shined once again and have consistently shown up in the top 5 rankings week after week in this young season.
